IDEAS.  PLANS.  CONTENT.  EXECUTION. METRICS.

The five words above summarize what I offer...I am in the business of helping organizations with their communication challenges - or put another way to take full advantage of their communication opportunities both within and outside the company. I'm excited about this opportunity and confident I can provide tangible value to my clients. My unique background reflects a strong track record of innovation and success, and I have distinctive skills and expertise to offer prospective clients - notably in the area of employee communications and social media. Though my work spans from initial planning to tactical execution, my strength lies in strategic analysis and plan design...the head and heart more than the hands, if you will.

My experience in social media is particularly relevant, given the dramatic impact the Web 2.0 revolution has had on disciplines related to communication - including public relations, journalism and marketing. A confluence of related developments and trends - including increasing mobility, an explosion of digital content and Web users and the emergence of virtual networks - has made communication more important, and more challenging, than ever before. The communication game has changed forever, and it's critical that organizations get it right to engage their customers and employees and grow their business.

Beyond my credentials, I believe there are inherent advantages to a focused, direct and dedicated engagement with clients outside the realm of larger agencies; think of me as a partner and idea catalyst. My mantra is providing value - not only original and actionable thinking (hence the name of my firm) but also solid execution and dependable, personalized client support.

Take a look at this short slide presentation for a snapshot on Thinktwice. For those of you who prefer a more virtual, video-game format check out this short digital interview on Thinktwice. And for fans of talking heads - or video - here's a link to a short (very short) interview where I talk about my background and views on internal communications.

I look forward to hearing from you.
Cheers,
Bernie Charland
